I shoot both the Lee C312-155 and the CTL312-160. My chambers will allow both of these sized .311" and seated to the crimp groove. Powders of choice are IMR 4227 and H110. IMR 4227 is more flexible in that it doesn't have to be run full throttle. Accuracy? Yes, ALWAYS less than 2moa, and usually closer to MOA.

I've not tried the Lee C309-120-R, but it should work.

I shoot both the LEE 312-160 and 312-155, both powder coated.

I load the 160 to 2.035" with 18.5 grains of A1680 for 1825 fps from a 16" barrel. Accuracy is 1/2" groups at 50 yards. The same load without the gas check measured 1" at 50 yards.

Today I shot two ten shot groups with 16g 3031. (A load that shot 1/2" @ 50)

Both shot @ 50 yards. The NON GC group was 2". The GC group was just under 1".
BUT... the non GC had seven bullets into same hole less than 1/2" then three flyers to open the group.

The GC group was symmetrical with one single Bullet outside a sub 1" group.

So the NON gc "looks" tighter with a couple Flyers. The GC was "looser" but more Symmetrical.

I also tried a couple More Lyman cast bullets a 210g 311299 and a 220g 311335. Both with 4227. All shot pretty well

3031 was for the RD? Rl7 is another one that works. 10 gr a2400 worked with 150gr PB PCd. 8.5 2400 gave 900 under 170 FB. Need to bump it a bit.

I shot PB 145gr to 2100 fps with accuracy but as I have a couple boxes of hornady GC now I just use them. Little bit softer alloy for them.
