Sub sonic bullet molds

I have a Lee 230 mold coming but wanted to hear from others on different bullet weights available. I will be using shooting them in a 10.5 AR based rifle with pistol length gas system. I will be powder coating all of the bullets. Plus I use suppressors on most of my firearms.

I would like to find one around 208-220 grains. Will be using for plinking but would like the bullet to be accurate at 100-150 yards.

I tried that LEE mold. Was PIA to cast with and never could get to where I thought I should be able to

Gave up on it last year.

Hope it’s working for you

I have the Lee mold. The bullets drop undersized. I used powder coat on them and barely had any resistance to a .310 sizing bushing from NOE.

I also picked up the MP 235 gr and the MP 311-410 clone.

I also have the Lee mold, drops typically at about 225+ gr. Accuracy sucked until I started coating them. I'm gonna ream the bases to remove the stupid boat tail and extend the length and diameter of the the first 1/2 inch to .310/.311. I run the coated projos through a .310 sizer. Gonna use some Eastwood Ford Blue and shuck the HF red, that stuff works...but goes on too thick in my experience.

I picked hp a new to Me Mold two months or so back. Its a steel Lyman 311284 HP. CASTS A 210g deep HP bullet with a .298 nose. PC brings that up to .303/304 Still fine for my guns.

I shoot is sub and super with good accuracy using 1680.

I cast is in WW air cooled and 20:1 allow when Im loading subs where expansion is wanted.
