Well crud. Wish I had seen this last week. Do you have any left? Can I fit a decapping pin in all of them?

Thanks,

Gabe

Can I fit a decapping pin in all of them?

Unless the neck is really crushed, I think this is what these were designed for 8)

A simple poke in the mouth and twist to round it out for a decapping pin or whatever.

this is very true.
this is why I discount it. a little more work, but you keep the savings that way. its a win win.

Yeah try using those pliers on thousands of cases. 8) As long as the dented cases are not covering more than 50% of the normal sized case mouth opending it should run through a Dillon ok. I've had a few batches of military brass with this issue and they've been ok for processing on a Dillon. I'll probably grab a few boxes of this stuff next week.

to gabe and plant1

yes I have done thousands or so

here is a pic of 12000 LC '09 new cases that were the last of my cheep buy in may of 12
Image
These and a lot more were used 75% of the time for fireball sized wildcats that were done by hand, each needing anywhere between 8 to 13 different steps utilizing a rcbs JR2 and hand held drivers, flashhole trimmers, neck trimmers, turners, etc.

I started playing with 3500 '13 unprimed natoLC a few days ago. This is what you end up with cleaning up the inside flash holes ( finger held.)
Image

I weight sorted this 3500batch into .5gr batches after flash holes were deburred, lubed them, moved the shoulder down to fireball length-(did not lose ONE!),and started cutting to rough length. Lots of distractions and 100degree heat today, so only cut 250pcs. 153pc-91.5to91.99gr..82pc-93.5to93.99gr..15pc-94to94.40gr.

I have 1281pc-92to92.49gr.
1521pc-92.5to92.99gr.
and 448pc-93to93.49gr to cut off.

Depending on 17 20 or 221fb. I will deburr the outside neck and wipe down before running through a sizer, turn or ream neck, etc, etc, to get where I want. Should have these done in a week or so, and will update..

WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! My hands cramp, but my neck and back hurt along with the rest of my body...

Heck I have been putting up with that since the late 60's..
Part of a long and fun life.

Gabe, your brass is so cheap, I can't justify going through the motions to do my own in 300blk. :D
