Looking for a youth 300 blackout in a single shot
I'm looking for a youth rifle for my son this coming deer season. Threaded for a suppressor is preferred. I realy like the handi rifle or cva. But i am open to options.

When did the factory open back up?rlandry6 wrote:H&R makes a single shot. Google it.
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.

I wish they still made it.rlandry6 wrote:H&R makes a single shot. Google it.

Didn't know it was closed. I just Googled what the OP was looking for and it came up.dellet wrote:When did the factory open back up?rlandry6 wrote:H&R makes a single shot. Google it.

Neither the CVA nor the H&R are still being produced. I think the T/C may be the only SS option at this point. I'm glad I bought a CVA when they were available. Check Armslist and cross your fingers.

I absolutely love my NEF Handi Rifle (AAC version) chambered in 300BLK. I have learned to like the short LOP guns and the Handi is perfect for me.
The 300BLK in a single shot has tons of possibilities as for as bullet speeds and bullet choice. I have also found my gun to be super accurate.
I also have a RARR with the youth stock (12.5" LOP) chambered in 300BLK. Both of these guns will shoot <.400" @ 50yds (5 shots). --- pruhdlr

Why just dance when you can "rock and roll".

Either single shot will cost as much as a Ruger American, if they can be found. Luckily the Ruger is already threaded.

I have one of each of the CVA and H&R,really like them both. I bought a full size stock for the H&R so it's more comfortable for me to shoot. I bought it for my grandson when he was only 3 mos old so it will be a little while until he's ready for it.

Can you use a semi-auto for hunting in your state? If so, 16" AR upper and a 6 position stock can be a great combo for a small youth.
My son took his first whitetail with a break open single shot .243 youth model. Gun still didn't fit him correctly.
If I had the option at the time it's exactly what my son would have started with.
Just an idea. Sorry for the thread hi jack.
