What's the different between the two?

I noticed the difference on the 10.2 and now 10.5s also. I contacted Chris at Noveske Rifle Works and here is his explanation:


We changed the 300 BLK barrels from .2 to .5 only because it is easier to produce them as the same size as the 5.56 barrels. I did extensive testing to ensure that there would not be any change in accuracy and there was not.

I never had the 8.2 but I sure like my 8.5.

Word around the camp fire is that John Noveske preferred the aesthetics of the gap between a suppressor and the hand guard with 8.2" and 10.2" barrels. I suppose that extra .3" changes the way the rifle looks. I forget where I read that but I can buy it...

No difference. They are both awesome. I can see them standardizing the size with the 5.56 barrels so they can increase output by not having to change the tool setup.
