Reportedly the weapon will stay zeroed with and without, unlike other cans where you have to re-zero after removing/adding?

Re: I hear the SureFire is the best can?
Never owned a Surefire, so I'll let other chime in. But I will say that, among the many I've spoken with, that brand isn't at the top of their list. Me, I own AAC and SilencerCo. I'm loving the latter, and will likely make that my standard brand for future purposes.
Regarding POI-shift, much of what you're describing can be attributed to the mount. If you want a minimal delta between can on & off, you're probably best avoiding fast-attach systems, and going direct-thread. That will minimize the difference between can on & off, as most fast attach systems introduce a bit of wobble.
Having said that, SilencerCo's Saker line utilizes compression mounts, supposedly minimizing this effect. I can't verify how well this works, since my Saker 762 is still in jail. However, many I've spoken with who own the 5.56 can, claim that the shift is about the same as a direct-thread system. Also, the mounted Sakers I've played with seem about as tightly attached as any direct-attach system I've ever played with, maybe even tighter. They are rock-solid. So, you may want to check that out.
Regarding Surefire, again I'm no expert. However, some that are have steered me in other directions. But I'll defer to opinions of peeps that actually own those cans, and know what they're talking about.

The Saker seems to be the talk of the town lately, AAC SDN-6 is also used a lot. I went with the YHM Phantom Ti because it's shorter, and weighs less than the others. I haven't experienced any POI with mine and I move the can to different rifles.

Gem Tech and SilencerCo for me. Between my dad, brothers and myself we own....
2 - Gem Tech QuickSand
1 - Gem Tech HVT
2 - Gem Tech G5
2 - SilencerCo Sparrow
5 - SilencerCo SS-Sparrow
For me, the SureFire names carries too large of a price tag.

They are expensive and their customer service needs improvement. I'm sure it's a good quality can.
Re: I hear the SureFire is the best can?
They are louder than other similar cans.

before you buy that can...
scroll down to the 300 blk testing. You will hear the difference.

A lot of money for suppression that isn't any better than Gemtech, AAC, Silencerco, Liberty, SAS, etc. Some say the QD mount is superior.
