Well I am trying to have a shroud built to house my .308 YHM SS Phantom for a 300 Blkout build.
I didn't know if someone out there is offering this service (I want it to fit under the rifle length free float tube).
If know can you guys recommend me someone who could do the work (I have done lots of the leg work and figured out what parts I need, I just don't have the skills or equipment)
Here is a picture (not mine but built by a guy on Arfcom) that gives you the idea.
Thanks
BTW I have an email off to ADCO to see if they can help (They have made on before but I don't know if they will do it again).
Anyone know of a company offering shrouds?

How is the suppressor supposed to cool off unless you Swiss cheese it?

Seems like it would get hot fast..darr3239 wrote:How is the suppressor supposed to cool off unless you Swiss cheese it?
Also why do this?
Re: Anyone know of a company offering shrouds?
Normally you do it like this
so it can cool off.
I am not too worried about heat. I am not going to be putting a ton of rounds at one time through the upper (zombie style)
I am going to be hunting with it so realistically it will be cold more than it will be hot
As for the reason I am doing this. Well it's a few reasons
1. I don't want to wait for the SBR stamp (who knows if it's more than a year in waiting now)
2. Less of big gov in my life (although I have the suppressor already )
3. It's a challenge and different so why not
4. Some states I travel to and hunt have the OK for suppressors but no go for the SBR's
so it can cool off.

Re: Anyone know of a company offering shrouds?
I am interested in this as well. In my state (WA), they dont allow SBRs. S how does this work? The shroud is somehow permantely attached to the barrel? Allowing you to still mount my suppressor?
Re: Anyone know of a company offering shrouds?
I did one of those here in MI
But I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. So I decided to have my Midwest Industries handguard blind pinned and welded to the barrel. That way I have the full 1.75" around my mystic.

Ariac, can you get us some more pics?
Re: Anyone know of a company offering shrouds?
I can after my friend the fabricator is done with it. He is pinning and welding the handguard now.
Re: Anyone know of a company offering shrouds?
Ariac, any update?
Re: Anyone know of a company offering shrouds?
That stainless shrouded barrel the op posted is a 9mm/357 barrel and takes many mag dumps to even get warm.
If I made it for a rifle caliber it would have had vents.
