You may not want to shoot a 308 thru an AK-47 can

I shot a couple 30 cal bullets through my 556 can. I suggest avoiding that.

How did you get the 5.56 can on the 308 barrel

Exactly what did that 308 bullet do to your 223/5.56 can? I am curious because I have a similar setup to your attachment setup.

I would also think shooting cast through a can that can not be disassembled would not be a good idea due to the lube blow off.

Yeah, I'm not real thrilled my M4-2k screws right on the mount on my AAC MPW.

Put two 300BLK 225gr subs thru it before I realized I have grabbed the 556 can.
Taking it off the rifle I found a jacket inside that had been peeled from the lead.

That sucks!!! Not that its AACs fault but did you see if they can help you since it will go on just fine? I have an SAS suppressor and they have 1/2x24 threaded flash hiders/ muzzle breaks that are bigger exterior for the 30 cal cans. You can physically put a .223 can on a .30 cal mount.

Anyone could have done this if they both fit the same mount. Let us know if they're going to help you. Again not they're fault but that seems like a design flaw to me.

OUCH!

I think all of us check the cans hoping not to find marks like that ... even though we're careful and all that. Just part of the thing with expensive items that involve so darned much paperwork and hassle.

I called them back in February on my way home from the range that day.
They stated they would send me an RMA and fix it, if it was fixable.
I asked if they would send it back if not repairable. Response was a chilling "We will destroy it"
I decided to keep it as is. For me, a $1200 paperweight is better than $1200 fading memory
