Silencer HELP

I NEED HELP ! I am wanting to buy a silencer and I am really confused after reading all this stuff. cons on QD or thread on and then which one. I want to use it on .223 all the way to .308.

Well it sounds like you need a .30 cal suppressor if your rifles have threads and the same types of threads then get a threaded suppressor. If you want a specific brand of suppressor you may need to go with that mfg attachment system

Can't you get a silencer that you can screw on if all of your weapons are threaded, without a QD?

i am pretty sure you can but you will need to make sure that you have the same type of threads on each of your rifles. You willl also need tojmake sure that the rifle threads match the threads on the can.

What you have to keep in mind is that most 5.56 barrels are factory threaded 1/2" by 28 TPI (threads per inch), while a 7.62 barrel is generally gonna be threaded 5/8" by 24 TPI. Now you may have different threads on your rifles, but this is generally what is done. With a QD can, you can get a mount for both rifles that the same 7.62 can will attach to.

For example, I have a M4-2000 5.56 can. My 5.56 rifles all have AAC 1/2" by 28 blackout 51 tooth flash hiders. I also have a 762SDN-6 can that will mount to the same flash hider, or it will mount to the 51 tooth 5/8" by 24 flash hider on the 7.62 rifle.

Get a 30 Cal can which is 5/8-24 and get a (1/2-24)-(5/8-24) adapter from trosusa.com for 70 bucks shipped. Use The suppressor and adapter for all your barrels threaded 1/2-24 and use the suppressor without the adapter for your 5/8-24 threaded barrels.
