Please recommend a suppressor wrap

Please tell me about the suppressor wrap you are using. Does any one brand stand out? Are there brands you do not recommend? Pictures appreciated!

I have the Silencerco. High quality and great customer service (unfortunately I can attest to that). The problem I have had with the design is that it tends to work forward with recoil and if you don't pay attention, the blast can actually damage it. Silencerco replaced my first one when I used it in a carbine class and basically ruined it when I didn't realize it had worked forward a little during an extended course of fire.

The high heat Armageddon gear looks promising to me but I haven't purchased one yet, it is on the list.

It seems like the design on this one would prevent the problem I experienced.

HAD and MAD covers from Rifles Only. Inner core from Spruce Aircraft. Less than 1/2 the cost of buying commercial when you make your own.

I have the Armageddon Gear wrap. It stays in place on every gun. The only issue I've had was melting the cord during a mag dump, but I consider that a self inflicted issue. I just ordered one of the high heat wraps.

Like flaliner, I have the Silencerco. Two actually. They do walk forward under recoil but I like them other thsan that.

They don't take well to mag dumps. I left one on and my co-worker melted it. I looked over and it was almost on fire with black smoke rising off it and melted drips of nylon falling off of it...doh!

I'm eying the Bowers silicone covers now, but am grateful that you startyed this thread!

This looks like a good idea.

When those totally ignorant of firearms make laws, you end up with totally ignorant firearm laws.

What are you using to cut the inner sleeve?

Scissors or razor knife will work fine. There is no metal in the core. Have some rtv or silicon gasket maker to apply to the edge when finished trimming. The inner core wants to fray pieces of really fine material that will get everywhere. The silicon also grabs your tube to keep it from sliding. I apply it maybe 1/2" into the sleeve.

Does anybody know a source for the materials that are used by Silencerco/Armageddon gear, etc. I actually really enjoy sewing and wouldn't have any reservations with making my own set up. HOWEVER, I have zero desire to clean up a melted nylon mess.
