Is there any downside to using a cover? Seems like it would hold in the heat. Is this an issue? My Saker is titanium and supposedly rated for full auto, but I figured I'd ask.
Never mind - I just remembered that Silencerco also sells a suppressor wrap. They say it isn't meant for extended use. Seems like it's more of an issue for the wrap than it is for the can.
Please recommend a suppressor wrap

It does increase heat retention and results in your can heating up faster. If you find yourself in an extended firefight on a walking dead episode it could be an issue. For me the biggest issue was mirage through my optic. It fixed that.

Mirage I could understand. So far I haven't had mine hot enough to notice.
I use a cheap stainless thermos for transport. If the can is still hot, it's no big deal. Just slide it in the thermos and off we go.

I have been shocked how fast mirage starts bothering me through a scope. In fairness though, I am now the proud owner of a set of old man eyes...

I've got a silencerco cover for the hybrid I'll sell for $50. Only fired 2 rounds with it. Black in color

I like the thought of DIY. I'll try it out.

As much as these things cost, would think they would come with one.
