With an 8.5" rail you could get a little interference. Depending on which mounting system you use. The pic below is with a Noveske 8.5" Navy barrel with a BCM 7" KMR which actually measures 7.3" in length. So with a 1.2" difference in length, there is only about .5" of space. Using this math you can see that you will get some interference if you have less than 3/4" difference between your rail and barrel.

Look into the Knights URX 4 M-Lok 8" rail. Its a great rail that is perfect for the 9" barrels. Will leave about 1/4" of space......perfect.

If you have not looked into SLR industry, on their website they have tons of different lengths and types. I have built a few different AR's with there rails and gas block and they are my top choice now.
Yea, I actually went by their warehouse today (one of maybe 3 perks to living in Central FL. ) I picked up an adjustable gas block and a 8" rail. They had... a lot of rails in there. It was kinda overwhelming. But super cool people, they let me try anyones I wanted on my receiver and barrel. I may return the one I got for one that was in their anodizer to see if I like that one better. I got this one http://slrrifleworks.com/index.php?rout ... uct_id=660

Here's a 10.5" BA barrel with an AAC Brakeout 2.0 installed under a 9" BCM Keymod Alpha rail, with an AAC 7.62 SD attached:

Hmm I'm running a 9 inch Seekins BAR with a 7.5 inch barrel and a direct thread Form 1. How about Negative measurements

Hey boolit_head! That looks an awful lot like my form 1 suppressor. Recessed under the handguard and all. 8" barrel, 10" handguard but a 10" suppressor underneath on mine. The suppressor rarely if ever comes off.
