sbr Compressor in competion

Post by ponzer04 »

This is a Spike's Tactical Compressor... http://www.spikestactical.com/new/z/st- ... p-792.html

This is the rifle I'm pretty sure I'm getting it has a ST Compressor 8.1" Lothar Walther Spiral Fluted Barrel

My question is can I safely make Major Power Factor of 320 with this rifle?

Question 2 is this round accepted in Heavy metal division?

I don't see making major with it. I did make major with a 16" barrel, but not much room to spare. Unless a club is running on USPSA rules it won't matter anyway. Seems like time plus or similar is most common ...... at least around here.

300BLK is not O.K. for Heavy Metal. If they are using USPSA scoring you can get major scoring in Tactical, Limited, etc.

I thought heavy metal was only 308 call or bigger?

Here are the rules. In appendix 5 it specifies .308 WIN/7.62x51. http://www.uspsa.org/rules/2012_Multigun_Rules.pdf

maybe the guy I heard it from wasn't specific enough or It was a local match where they allowed it.

that sucks that is the class I think sounds coolest and I want that rifle and I would like it to have another use for this sport.

I guess I got tactical though

Thank you very much

A 175 grain Sierra with A1680 powder will shoot 330 in a 16 inch at 55,000 psi. Not sure how to do it in an 8 inch, unless you went to a 220 or 240 grain bullet.

He-Man is all messed up. It just depends on the match if you can use a 308 diameter bullet or if it has to be a 7.62x51 or 30-06.

That would be a fun rifle with a red dot for CQB matches, to hell with major. Around here the local match goes CQB and stays in the pistol bays in the winter due to fog/mist/rain screwing up 100-200 yd and longer stages. I'm going to try to find a mild load that runs well, maybe with 150 gr pills, and try it out.
