I was planning on bringing the 9" with the can, but I don't have the can yet, and it looks like I won't make another match before PCS orders come. I'll have to check out the new location (which still isn't known) whenever I get there, wherever it is.

I'll be shooting my 9" with 7.62 SDN 6 at this month's local 2 gun IDPA match. I'm still tuning my .223 SBR w/AAC m4/2000 to lessen blowback. This is NOT a problem shooting the 220 SMK in the BLACKOUT. It is just a pleasurable gun to shoot.

I'm going to run mine at my clubs 3-gun matches. All the targets will be under 200 yards.

I am seriously considering ordering a chamber reamer and building up a 300 BO on a Model 70 Win rifle currently in 5.56 chambering.

I have a good supply of 173 LC match pulled bullets to shoot up so I am figuring to rebarrel the 70 with a 12 or perhaps a 13 twist barrel as I will not be shooting over 173 grain 30 cal bullets. I think if I had a pile of 125 grain bullets I would barrel one up with 15 to 18 twist. Check out 6MMBR website and read up on the accuracy potential of the 30 BR.

One of the most impressive things I have seen in last few years was a guy breaking in a 30 BR barrel. He was shooting at 1/8" dots at 100 yards and he had shot three rows of seven (two sighter shots followed by 5 record shots and he had shot about 21 rounds and had not missed a 1/8" dot yet ! ! ! !

I am thinking about doing it for highpower competiton at the reduced range matches 100/200 yards.

They did a 2-gun match as part of the AR15.com MI Hometown shoot. I used my Noveske-barreled 300 Fireball upper for my first run through. (I had built it shortly before the 300BLK was released.) I thought it went pretty well.

I posted in another thread that IF you are going to shoot 300BLk suppressed, you will need to ensure the timer sensitivity is set waaaay down otherwise your shots arent going to be recorded. 300BLK are very quiet but darn fast because of minimal muzzle rise.

I'm building a 10.5" for my wife so she can do matches with me next year. She needed something short and 5.56 would be just too blasty which is an unwanted distraction. I kinda wish the 6x35 was available as a common round for this kind of task as an extra upper. Did KAC ever SAAMI it?

I ran my 5.56 this past year. Got my 300 Blackout last month, and after taking it out for some rnage time I will run it next year instead of 5.56. I shoot 3 gun for fun not sponsors so I'm upping the fun factor.

I shot my 16-inch 300BLK A15 in a military rifle silhouette match yesterday. My first time shooting the match. I used 120-grain supers and a 4x scope with blackout specific BDC reticle. We shot the full chore of fire out to 500 meters. I shot 32/40. We soft set the rams and the 7 that I hit went down. Major fun.

I've been going to a cast bullet only silhouette match for the past 10 years, and have always shot my 30-06 boltgun until last year. A couple of the guys persuaded me to shoot my 300BLK AR, so that made 3 of us shooting ARs and another guy shooting his built 300BLK boltgun. It was the first time on the 500m range with the Vortex Viper PST 1-4x, but I got settings for the scope. At the end of the day I was tied with 2 other guys for high overall. One was shooting a Rem700 30-06 with Leupold 4.5-14x and the other was shooting a custom built Rem722 in 35Rem with 36x, My shooting buddy was a few targets behind with his 1-10" twist 300BLK AR.
