NFA Not F**king American
It would be less disrespectful to burn the flag than to put a thin blue line through the middle of it.

The stamp collectors have made a bad investment. Too bad if their 20,000$ rifle becomes worth nothing. Thats the risk.

Yep. If they could afford such things, then they knew, understood the risks of, and accepted the loss of their investments.
They were investing in anti gun anti freedom legislation anyhow.

Another thing to keep in mind, is a lot of transferable machine guns have a collector value that is independent of their legal status. If the Hughes amendment or even the whole NFA went away entirely, they would still be worth a lot of money.

Re: Petition to Repeal the NFA
MN has additional restrictions on full auto's. Basically it has to be over 50yrs old and considered a collectible antique. So to have a M16 lower, it's gotta be a very early specimen and that jacks the price up.
I know a guy who has one. He figured that being single and well off, there was nothing stopping him from dumping 25K into a toy. He'll go to the range and burn through a couple 60rd mags just to see if they'll work. So $20 range fee plus ammo, just for a couple minutes of trigger time.
I wish I had that problem of having so much money I needed to come up with dumb ways to spend it.
