I would take a AR with Bravo Company furniture over a Magpul equipped AR any day of the week. It would be more ergonomic.

The specs look pretty squared away and gives you a very good bang for the buck.

It is a 700.00 AR that IMO can compete in the 500.00-1,200.00 market.

Is it made in Croatia? jab jab ;)
If it doesn't splatter, shatter, burst, boing or explode, it's not worth shooting.

That would be a fitment issue with the handguard touching the A2 gas block. It didn't melt for any other reason. I've baked Magpul and BCM polymer in the oven and it takes over 400 degrees to melt like that.

I've burned my hand shooting a Magpul MOE handguard equipped rifle because of the steel screws that run the length of the bottom midline.

Yeah, 8 mag dumps would probably stress out just about any polymer part, and there's no way to keep the HG off the gas block, that steel plate that the HG clips into contacts it directly.

Then it is a problem BCM is going to have to redesign unless it was a fluke. I have found that because Magpul polymer is thicker than the polymer BCM uses in its stocks BCM stocks have a higher risk of deformation when heat is applied like when they are cured after painting.

They may end up having to scrap the PKMR, re-design it, put a different handguard or they are going to have to put a low profile gas block and handguard on the rifle.

BCM should have done multiple heat cycles to find the upper limits of what the handguards can handle and S.A. would have done the same.
