8.5" melonite 1:8 Rainier $130

I'd ideally like a 9" 1:7 but I've been waiting 3-4 months and I'm getting itchy.
Any issue with me using this for suppressed subsonics primarily?
I also like the pronounced thread relief at the shoulder.

I don't think it's made by Rainier because its not labeled as such.
But it does say it uses Green Mountain blanks.

8"-9" is optimal. The barrel above falls in that bucket.

I personally prefer KAK barrels. They too are cut from Green Mountain barrel blanks.

Well I want melonite and if that mr. Blonde melonite was 1:7 I'd pay the upcharge. Havent the faintest idea of why they make these in 1:8 rather than the better 1:7 for subs.

I'm pretty certain that "ranier" barrel is a KAK.

If it is, you can buy the same exact barrel from KAK for about $100, instead of $130 I paid at Ranier because I didn't know until afterwards.

I agree, that looks exactly like the KAK. I bought the one from KAK and even the etching on the barrel is the same as the one pictured above.

Rainier has a Match barrel made from Rock Creek 5R blanks on their site. It is a bit more expensive, but you get what you pay for, IMO. I have a 16" one, and it will shoot tiny groups.

I'd have to agree that they were the same barrel
I ended up getting the KAK from KAK when they had the fathers day sale for $90.
Came yesterday and has a great thread relief and locks up tight to my Mystic can.
