Considering how much some companies want for pistol upper receivers alone that is a cheap upper.

Stock up on the 9mm now because if Saw Mask Clinton is elected then the Firearms industry is going to get another surge in demand

I have a old Olympic 9mm upper that I picked up around 1987 or so. It rides beside my bed full time, now!

The big question on the 9mm upper is what type of mag block are you going to use. Put another way, you have to decide what
type of magazines you are going to use and get a mag block to fit.

I remember I had a choice between Sten mags and Colt mags at the time, I had a bunch of Sten mags and went that route and
couldn't be happier. My feeds and shoots great. I think the longer barrel really adds some spunk to the 9mm.

Good luck and have fun!

I went ahead and grabbed one!! I'm going to go with the Colt mags, and bought the mag block that they sell as well.

Vent, I love my AR-15 chambered in 9mm. My wife enjoys it so much, we're making her one.

Mine is already SBR'd and suppressed. Hers will be as well.

Here's an early video without the suppressor, but with a slidefire stock on it:

Here's a video of it carving some pumpkins with the Octane 9mm suppressor (no slide fire action):

For 25-50 yards, it's hard to beat, IMHO.

I bought the 9mm rifle kit when it was on sale awhile back. It has functioned fine. The only complaint I have is the front sight was installed leaning to the left so far that I can't sight it in. I put a carry handle/sight on it and with it adjusted all the way left it still shoots about 6" to the right at 25 yards.

So how do you finish that thing? I've got an SBRd lower sitting around, but I don't want to cram a mag block in the lower with a hammer, I'd like something I can switch back and forth.

I have a insertable "Sten mag" block to use with my 9mm upper. I used to swap uppers and put the block in, but over time acquired its own lower so it stays together now. As for as the block, it should be a "slip in" fit that is releasable by the regular mag catch. It has a separate lever to release the sten mags. I would think the other mag blocks would be similar, but not a guarantee.

Good Luck!

Like sig said, there are drop in (or drop up) mag blocks. The bottom insert mag blocks from hahn, spikes and others are kept in place by set screws and are easily removable. They also provide bho. Top inserts do not. I run the spikes without issues.

The biggest issue is that not all ar15 hammers work in a 9mm. My blackout has a giessele trigger/hammer. Won't work with the 9mm. That for me was enough reason to get a second (and soon third) sbr.
