But still not a subsonic expanding (hunting appropriate) bullet. Target bullets only go SO far.

There is a market for premium ammunition. So when we are surprised with more expensive products - there are people who buy that stuff all day long.

I'm sure they used the 220gr UMC ammo in their comparison charts.
Pretty much explains the Remington MOA and velocity numbers.

I got a box to test. Their brass has their own "SCO" headstamp. Haven't shot it yet, but COAL is 2.15" and powder load is 10.0gr.
Can anyone identify the powder? It has some "tadpoles" that should be a giveaway, but I haven't seen them in anything I use.
For reference here is A1680 on the same grid:

Curious to know the powder too. They may have found another one more readily available!
Re: New: SilencerCo 300blk "Harvester" Subsonic Ammo
Trying to ID powder by visual appearance is futile at the least and dangerously irresponsible at the most. MOST factory loaded ammo uses canister grade powder that MAY be similar in appearance to powders that you can purchase. They usually are made up of blended powders that do not perform or test the same as labeled powders. Just asking that everyone be prudent and safe, use well documented recipes, data and due diligence.
Case in point, Georgia Arms has/had a 158 gr .357 Mag loading they called Deer Stopper. This load developed 1375 fps out of a 6" revolver. Some individuals stated that it looked like WW 296 and they measured the charge. It was several grains above any listed data. In fact the powder was blended from several runs of 296 that had a slower burn rate and was sold to several semi custom ammunition manufacturers and was marketed as 298.
Just be safe!

What a cool resource!
The listed powders that visually resemble the charge and most closely bracket the required burn rate seem to be Accurate #9 (too fast on its own) and 2230 or 2460 (too slow).
I assume that if Accurate was going to blend powder they would have done it for Remington before a small outfit like SCO.
I'm tempted to try blending, since even a 10gr charge of #9 is under 70kpsi, and so well within the proof pressure of a modern gun.
