Just got it early this afternoon. It'll probably be next week before I can make a range trip to try it out. Places to go, people to see, matches to shoot, deer to hunt, honey-do-list, etc.
At first glance, it's loaded shorter than the Barnes 110 gr, the old UMC 115 gr and the new UMC 220 gr, but longer than the original Rem. 220 gr. Hmm.

Remember, if the bullet were longer and filled with lead to support the nose, it would be, well, heavier - unless it was a plastic tip. Actually imagine if the black tip were lead and not copper, and still had that large plastic tip. It would be a lot heavier as lead.
Maybe I should have taken Cromwell up on their offer to sell for $16.50 per 20. I just have way too much 300 bo. The UPS man thinks I'm running a small arms militia.

What is too much ammo??
I don't think you can have to much of any caliber, if you have a place to store it and get a deal on the stuff it can't hurt to have extra. It's better than cash. IMHO.
There's a time for compromise. It's called later.

Which is why 18.95+/box should be avoided. Don't pay retail guys. Don't be that guy.
If 16.44ish is the street price then there is still wiggle room for sale prices.
Is Barnes still making this product continually as fast as they can or will this be a seasonal run?
