So I have a rock river that the upper
and lower fitting was horrible. Tried a few things
and they worked so so..
Got my hands on a set of X shims
from varmintlights.com
and it has fixed the issues
Was a very easy and solid fix
Worth checking it out

X-SHIM
By simply installing the X-SHIM on the Rear & Front lugs on the upper receiver, the "slop" found on many rifles can be reduced or eliminated. Removal of the slop can result in increased accuracy and more reliable feeding.
The X-shim will work with the following platforms.
AR-15 rifles
AR-10 rifles
Included in the kit are the following items.
Front set of shims
Rear set of shims
Set of gauges to check tolerance
