New AP bullet for 300 BLK

While we all know 300 BLK is a rifle round, the ATF defines it as "capable of being fired from a pistol" rather than "designed for a pistol."

I assume this is the bullet the DOE is looking at.

It will be interesting to see what kind of penetration this bullet delivers against auto glass and sheet metal as well as body armor.

Just about every centerfire rifle round will defeat soft armor. I would be VERY surprised if it did any better against plates then whats already avail in a 7.62 format

If most of the weight is in the penetrator..... Maybe

My understanding is you can own, buy and sell AP bullets and cartridges, but you can't make them without an FFL6 I believe.

No one should think this does better than other calibers. That is not the point. It is the only 300 BLK AP bullet. If you are using 300 BLK and want AP, this is currently the best choice.

I can't find it on their website. I was gonna order some. They look very slick and aerodynamic.

I don't expect them on their website. Ammunition makers who sell to the govt never add bullets to an online shopping cart and do a checkout. They ask for a quote for a large quantity and then issue a purchase order.
