The new UMC subsonic is a ground-up design with a completely new custom bullet optimized for 300 BLK, with a proper nose profile for proper magazine fit and the most reliable feeding from AR-style rifles. The bullet is a cannelured 220 grain Open-Tip match with a flat base.
The powder is optimized for 300 BLK cycling in gas-operated rifles, for sound, and for improved velocity deviation. Brass is struck-up for NATO-like hardness (more like 5.56mm brass than 223 brass). Visible annealing marks remain on the case for verification that this important step has been done. Primers are sealed in blue.
Available to dealers in 200 round cases from Remington or distributors, item number 21422 L300AAC4 300 AAC Blackout 220 OT FB. MSRP is $17.99 per box of 20.

Nice! Another bullet to wish and wait for to reload with...
No matter what you read on the intarweb CCI450s and CCI41s ARE NOT BALLISTICALLY IDENTICAL with H110! I'm also not a intarweb lawyer so I don't argue with anyone who is.

There are no extra bullets. They are all being loaded into ammunition.tfbit wrote:Nice! Another bullet to wish and wait for to reload with...

This is great news!!! The brass sounds like a perfect reason to buy some loaded factory ammo! Silvers, will any *similar* load data be published as was the load for Remington Subsonic 220 before?

I know that weight may not be the deciding factor in stability, especially if there is a large air pocket in the nose. Is this round good to go in 1/8 twist barrels down to 9" in length, even if the temps dip? I ask, because I'm overly protective of my can and want to know if there is indeed a bit of a safety margin of stability, here, or if this bullet is right on the edge of what a 1/8 can handle.

The load data for Remington 220, as far as I can remember, has never been published.armed_zebra wrote:This is great news!!! The brass sounds like a perfect reason to buy some loaded factory ammo! Silvers, will any *similar* load data be published as was the load for Remington Subsonic 220 before?
