Yikes. There's not much meat left after threading a 7.62 that way.

Any interest in using an adapter like http://www.tornado-technologies.com/cgi ... 8-0.625X24 ?

I have no experience in this area but if you rockset the adapter then you may be ready to rock and roll. It seems a shame to get so close to buying but find threads to be an issue.

Just a thought :)

I thought about a adapter but I'm afraid of the thread size then mounting a adapter then a can on the end of the barrel might break the threads off. Just didn't want that headache

I had high hopes for this, but I'm out. If a company can't get the twist or the threads right, what else are they messing up?

For only $49 more I have a Handi on the way. I know it'll take the suppressor, and the rifling is 1 in 7.

Hogs beware. I picked up a crapload of Lehigh 186 CF subs today too.

Yeah I'm going to stick with my Remington 700 300 BLK rifle and use the money I was going to spend on the CVA scout and customize my Remington.

I ended up buying one of these today. I was at my local gun shop and picked it up for $235. On the one I purchased, the muzzle threading was not 1/2-28 but 5/8-24. I called CVA about the twist rate of the barrel and they told me that their 300 blk rifles have a 1/8 twist. For $235, it seems like a great deal with a factory threaded barrel and free 1" rings/mount. I will be using this gun for load development for cast bullet sub loads.
