You made the recommendation, you do the research, you report back.

I will be interested in which ones will feed in an AR, which ones come apart in a suppressor at what velocity.

If you have done all that already please post the result. If you haven't, please don't just throw a bunch of links to bullets out there that might get people in trouble.

Easy tiger.....get a good nights sleep and try again!

I would give you a report, but you have to do the search for it.....heck a couple of those you have probably reported on.

I do remember getting the half jacket 110 and the fmj 110 to feed in my AR....they were the first light weight .30 projectiles I could find to load at the time. The Speer 125's have always shot well for me and others. My favorite plinkers are the 120gn and 125 gn HP's we could get from American Reloading....along with those SOST 130gn HP's.

Don't use a suppressor, so no need in slowing things down on my end.

Thanks for the attitude check Sig.

Aggie, my apologies to you. Should have cut you a bunch more slack being new.

From my view, digging up a long dead thread, throwing out a bunch of bullets that for the most part have very limited use and telling the guy looking for help to try a bunch of this and let me know how it works out, isn’t real helpful.

Most of the carbine bullets don’t work real well in an AR, some of them start coming apart at relatively low velocities in fast twist barrels. If you can get them to feed. They were designed to be shot in a 16 twist around 2000 fps. They will be spinning less than 90,000 rpm at that speed. Just using them in a 1/8 at the same speed will double that. Move that into a 1/7 and 2200 fps and it’s spinning 2.5 Times what it was designed for, over 225,000.

When I saw your post I made an assumption. That you had not used any of the carbine bullets or the Berry’s. When those are recommended they generally come with a caveat, they will work, if you do this.

The way you posted came across to me as a statement of “here’s a bunch of bullets that work for me, give it a try and let me know how it works out for you”.

I’m guessing it should have been more of a question, “here’s a bunch of cheap bullets, which ones work, any help appreciated.”

If I am wrong and you do have experience with all those bullets and have got them all to work reliably in an AR, I certainly apologize for poor judgement and jumping to conclusions.

If you don’t have personal experience with the bulk of those carbine bullets, I will stand by my intent, but put it more politely. Please don’t recommend bullets you have no real knowledge of, it’s a good way to cost someone a lot of money.

Off to get a snickers bar.
