I've heard it has to do with it being the correct length, and it having the Binary firing system. Seems they're pretty hush hush about it for now though...

I’ve read that folks suspect it has a fixed, non rifled barrel segment, and then the rifling starts. It would make the barrel neither a shotgun nor a rifle, thus not an sbr nor sbs nor aow. It would seem to me that might make it very inaccurate, but has apparently been done before, eg with a rifled choke on a shotgun.

We will see. As rebel’s tagline... can’t stop the mountain.... innovation and creativity will find a way.

The following 4 things define a rifle. It doesn't have at least one of them, while not falling into definition of something else.

1) Fired from shoulder
2) Made to use energy of an explosive
3) fires single projectile through rifled bore
4) single pull of trigger

This will be interesting to see.

I do feel like AR pistols with the later arm-brace styles seem to have this niche covered pretty well.
Making the bad man go away since 1982.

looks like it has an arm brace. for that kind of money I will stick with my AR pistol w/brace. I thought they got around the regulation and put a butt stock on it.

I took a close look and think it is a shoulder stock, adjustable.
