The best thing I did was switch to Chrome with the UBlock Origin software add in.
It keeps almost all pop-ups out.

I don't mind some ads, but the way these are laid out is silly, they're all over the place. I'm not sure where threads begin or end. I won't be leaving the site, but I bet I've missed some posts on some threads already as they're just too busy to look at for more than a second or two. I also read a stat once, don't know if it's true, but Americans are more likely to be hit by lightning than to click a banner ad. I've never actually clicked one on purpose. I say put real advertisers at the top, people we want to support, so we always know where to find their stuff. Fighting underarm bulge is important, but this isn't the venue for it.

I use Google Chrome as my browser with adblocker on and don't see them. If I'm on my phone I sometimes see a small one below the first comment, but that's all. I'm using 1blocker for iOS and have the iPhones built in ad blocker on too. I thought it was odd there were no ads on this sight.

Yeah, it's getting very hard to read the threads. I don't mind one at the top, but it's getting hard to use. I normally don't go to forums that are filled with ads like these ones are.

That's not a censorship thing, because "fuck" isn't replaced.

300 WT F is a common nickname for lumping the 3 different flavors together.

Well, my browser just timed out,,, twice, due to "long running script" (ie loading adds)
This keeps up, I might have to forgo "BLK talk"
I refuse to use Chrome or Firefox,, just don't like them.

so ok.. i've gone from indiffernce to 'this is turning into a giant pain in my ass'

the adds are now taking 30-60 seconds to load up and its stopping the rest of the page from loading until the ad's load.

ugh. tonights read was more of a chore than a process.
