DO NOT COWER, DO NOT ALLOW OTHERS TO BRIDLE YOU WITH SHAME THAT IS NOT YOURS!
Gun control is responsible for this tragedy, The blood of these innocents is on THEIR hands, not ours; it is high time to point this out. Free fire zones have cost us lives, not saved them. Our teachers and staff must have the means to defend our children. The reason this tragedy happened is because gun control has denied our teachers and staff the ability to defend our children.
GUN CONTROL CAUSED THIS!
Just to be clear on the upcoming gun control debate.

Not really. A whacko caused this.L1A1Rocker wrote:GUN CONTROL CAUSED THIS!
Shoot softly, and carry a big clip.

The whacko is fully responsible for his evil acts.
Law makers provided him with a target rich non-protected environment.
Gun control = people control by Govt., not protecting citizens.
This is caring about kids
Evil is present among us, prepare for it, as it will NEVER be expunged.

Yes the wacko did the act. It was gun control and the antis that gave him free reign at the school by declaring it a free fire zone.

Realistically even if there was no gun control, teachers would not be armed. The people who end up 1st grade teachers are just not gun people. I could see a few people in the office armed though.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2008/08/ ... 1720080815(Reuters) - A Texas school district will let teachers bring guns to class this fall, the district's superintendent said on Friday, in what experts said appeared to be a first in the United States.

http://backwoodshome.com/blogs/MassadAy ... -monsters/After the Ma’alot massacre in 1974, Israel instituted a policy in which volunteer school personnel, parents, and grandparents received special training from the civil guard, and were seeded throughout the schools armed with discreetly concealed 9mm semiautomatic pistols. Since that time, there has been no successful mass murder at an Israeli school, and every attempt at such has been quickly shortstopped by the good guys’ gunfire, with minimal casualties among the innocent. Similar programs are in place in Peru and the Phillippines, with similarly successful results.

Nope actually "Gun Control" did. Here's the proof:DustyJacket wrote:Not really. A whacko caused this.L1A1Rocker wrote:GUN CONTROL CAUSED THIS!
In spite of waiting periods, background checks, finger printing, government forms, etc., guns today are too readily available, which is responsible for recent school shootings. In the 1940's, 1950's and1960's, anyone could buy guns at hardware stores, army surplus stores, gas stations, variety stores, Sears mail order, no waiting, no background check, no fingerprints, no government forms and there were no school shootings

This is my 17th year of teaching, and my 9th year teaching 1st and 2nd grade. I admit that I am not the typical elementary teacher, but I still would not carry at school. While the odds of actually having an active shooter at any school is probably similar to being struck by lightning, the possibility of a gun being left somewhere where a child could find it, or just mishandled and dropped by non-gun savvy teacher is much more probable. Kids are constantly hugging on you, you're crawling around on the floor with kids, you're playing with them out on recess, or playing a game during P.E. Rather than spend the money to train and arm teachers it would be much more practical, and probably cheaper, to simply hire armed security. You can't simply take a practice from another country (like Israel) and apply it to the United States. It doesn't work that way.300Blk wrote:Realistically even if there was no gun control, teachers would not be armed. The people who end up 1st grade teachers are just not gun people. There were mental institutions back then. We got rid of them.R.Ph. 380 wrote:Nope actually "Gun Control" did. Here's the proof:DustyJacket wrote:Not really. A whacko caused this.L1A1Rocker wrote:GUN CONTROL CAUSED THIS!
