Whats your accent?

Post by rebel » Tue May 28, 2019 2:34 pm

Thought it might be fun to make fun of ourselves a bit. I've talked to folks all over this board, boy - we all sound different. No smus, this is not an opportunity to give everyone sh$t, post a good example of what the folks around you and yourself sound like,
My accent isn't quite this harsh, tempered by other southern influences.

Close as I could find anyway.

This coastal dialect has always been one of my favorites. When you run into one of em you're sure to know it. As far as where I'm at I guess I'd have to google Ohio or New Jersey accent now adays.

Mine's pure foothills of VA redneck, but can translate NY-ese, and "along the Canadian border". Neither of those I would refer to as English
Malinois, it's French for "Don't get one"

And since you didn't give an example, found one. This is what smus sounds like.

This article's appearance sure is timely: http://www.bbc.com/travel/story/2019062 ... an-english

To explain the coincidence, I'd say it's apparent the BBC follows Rebel's 300BLKTalk posts... :P
