How people where I live act when the word "snow" is said on the news.
Snow

Re: Snow
We got about 3-4 inches here, first snow since after Hurricane Ike. The saving grace to this one was the roads were not cold enough to hold snow or ice...so they were clear. Sure made the area look nice all painted in white!

Re: Snow
Having lived in the south for more than half my 44 years now. I simply never have understood why everyone in the south likes to make french toast when bad weather approaches.
Yes, I am a Baptist, and yes I carry a gun. You might think I carry a gun because I don't trust God. Well you would be wrong. I have complete faith in my Lord. It is mankind I have no trust in
Re: Snow
Oh look, a big ol' pot of leftist stew. I thought I smelled sh*t ( dellet's pic )
We had a busy morning, then the snow started. I thought about giving a loaf of bread, 12 eggs and a gallon of milk with the purchase of each rifle
As it was, after the snow started, people drifted off, saw no one for 2 hours. My partner, who's a paraplegic, kept nervously staring outside at the road so at around 3:45 I called it and we closed up 2 hours early. The cafe had closed across the road and the only busy place was the country grocery store. Bet there ain't a gallon of milk left.
In any case, from a guy who had to drive to work in the worst weather for 25 years, I just shake my head. In any case, when I got home and my lovely bride and child were home safe, Ella got to play..........
And ol' Pop carried some wood in. Good night for a fire and bourbon

Re: Snow
They are still calling for 4-8" of wet snow here. Biggest problem is the people have no idea how to drive in snow so it becomes a nightmare. At least we will have a couple days in the 40's starting Sunday so most will melt.
Re: Snow
What a bunch of wussies. I remember when I was stationed at ft hood texas, they had a small snow storm. Took 2 hours to drive 7 miles home. Lucky for me I had 4 wheel drive truck and drove the ditch along the side of the highway to get home. Ever see a Hawaiian see his first snow? He thought the sky was actually falling. Took us about a half hour to calm him down letting him know this is normal. The guy literally freaked out. Was funny though.
Re: Snow
Well, this wus is open for business this morning. May close early because everyone is eating french toast. The cafe is still closed across the road. It stayed just below freezing last night but the ground is warm so the roads are fine.
