Remington 700 SPS Tactical/ AAC-SD anyone have one
What stock do you have on it? I am leaning toward getting one for my next bolt rifle. I'm not a fan of the stock that comes factory with it thought. It seems to have too much flex in it. Just wondering on some replacement ideas. The only thing I want the stock to have is adjustments on the length of pull and cheek.

I have a Bell and Carlson. Absolutley love it and they can be had for a pretty good price now. Unfortunately when I bought mine, the only color option at the time was black. I'm quire sure they come in some webbing colors now.

I have a sps tac in 308 with the hogue stock that comes with it. I agree the stock is a little flexy if set on a rest the barrel ends up touching. I bedded the action and that helped allot unless i really apply pressure it stays free float, it also of course helped a hair with accuracy. But really its tits gun right out of the box. Mine averages about 1/2 inch with my handloads and im using nosler partitions so im sure it could do better with a match, but i use it for hunting. great gun all in all

Another rifle worth consideration is the Savage Precision Carbine with the accustock. I bought one cheap on a lark and it has proved to be a decent little rifle. Unlike Rem, Savage come standard with 1:10 twist in 308 and the trigger is highly impressive for a factory unit, unlike the Rem trigger.
FWIW I am not a Rem snob. I have several of each make and like them both equally.

we have sold many of the Rem AAC-SD's most customers love them .. the few who really want absolute accuracy ( 600+ yds) end up laying a aluminum rail in the stock forend or purchasing another stock ..
for the average joe its a wonderful rifle ..

The Rem barrels are also 1:10 with adjustable triggers as well. Love mine and looking forward to a chassis of some sort. Hopefully Remington will sells theirs one of these days.

I am pretty sure its gonna be my next rifle. Texas passed a law allowing hunting with suppressors and I like that it is already threaded. I plan on changing the stock and putting the adapter for detachable mags on it.
Re: Remington 700 SPS Tactical/ AAC-SD anyone have one
I ordered a 700 SPS DM in 300 Win Mag. (I got the SPS, because the stock is a throw away for me).
When I get it, I'm getting an AAC muzzle brake, so I can add my 762-SDN from time to time.
I'm leaning towards the AICS stock, but I'll be waiting until I get my skill to the point where the stock actually matters.

I put it in a McMillan A1-3 and it now shoots lights out.

I have one in an AICS, and it's crazy accurate. Waiting on the stamp for my suppressor, then it'll be quiet and accurate! Loves machine pulled 175's, 1/2 MOA all day long if I do my part.
