At least 30 feet. Prolly closer to 40 to 50 feet, unless you practice daily. Just my (hands on) opinion.

There's a trade off between concealability and deployability/shootability.

I use an Alien gear 2.0 IWB for my SD40. Pretty comfortable in the small of my back. Guaranteed for life as well.
