Right now mine is set up on the bottom sling loop on the stock, it works fine, just gets hung up if I am not careful. I am not using a paracord mount but that might make a difference.

 That is a nice setup!

Do you like the Minimilist stock?

ETA: That was how mine was beforehand. I had it attached to the ring at the bottom of the stock. I just angled the bottom out to match the front MOE mount.

I do like the stock, it is pretty basic but it gets the job done. It wasn't a 'weight saving' choice as the rest of the setup is certainly not light (except the JP Low Mass carrier, that thing ROCKS)...

I have toyed with using one but never got to it. Now, with the mag holder I have as well as the set up...I am kind of liking my milspec.

I see you have some kind of wrap around the front of the rifle. Is that a suppressor?

Yes, it's an Omega (Silencerco) with an Armageddon Gear high heat mirage cover. The two rubber bands (tire innertube) on the handguard are holding a cleaning rod for quick retrieval to clear a catastrophic malfunction in an active use scenario. Here are more pics, I am kind of proud of the project:

It was a carbine class I took, I do work part time with a couple of the guys in the picture. I confess I was lazy and posted the pics as a copy from another thread where I talked about the class and the build.

No problem on that. Looked like a good class. I am a firm believer in using what pictures I can as I can so as to save time.
