What was your test medium, wetpack? Or did you just shoot a deer and evaluate? edit - I tried groundhogs with a couple of different ones just to see what they did. Ballistic gel is the way to go if you test a bunch.

It's been awhile since I updated this page.
I'll make a point to put some time in next week to update things if you are interested.

Cheers...

Thank you Dr.Phil for this info, and updates. Been a couple of years since I've done any reloading for the BO, or any reloading for that matter. Just got the set up at the new house, and have been working on a subsonic 130gn Speer Hot Core load with good success. I plan to work up a new hunting round for this year, and this thread will be invaluable !

You able to get a 130gr subsonics to cycle in an AR? Lightest I've gone for subsonics in an AR is 150gr.

No, haven't even started reloading for the AR. The 130 gn in question is for a RAR. Haven't shot over 60 yards yet, but very accurate at those ranges.

Would love to see the Speer Gold Dot 150 gr BLK (308150BLKGDB) added. Expands down below 1400 fps, as documented in this thread:
