Double tapped this sow on a dead run, hit her in the guts both times. Hog ran 30 yards from impact. Complete pass thru of both rounds.

Re: Barnes blacktip Hog
1) How far away was the hog when hit?
2) Did you autopsy to determine bullet damage and possible expansion?

Re: Barnes blacktip Hog
Hog was at 60 yards. No autopsy. I shot another hog that only weighed about 10lbs in the head, I didn't want to post that pic cause half of his head was gone.
Re: Barnes blacktip Hog
Congrats on the bacon! How big were the exits?

Another Big thank you for sharing, the Blacktip is going to be a good round for the 300 BLK!!!!!!!!
Fingers are crossed for you to get into some big hogs.
I'm liking the double tap, I do it all the time, even if I'm wanting to see what a bullet can do, great shooting.

Yuuup! Unfortunately, a lot of us won't be able to experience this unless there's an outfit that offers supressed hunting excursions in states that would allow it. Texas, perhaps?Grendel65 wrote:Double tappin with silenced weapons and bacon, just dosen't get much better than that.

Nice pig. I've hunted them many times out here, but never actually been close enough to shoot one. I've only seen 3 out here. Thankfully we don't have a huge feral problem yet.
Very soon Arizona will allow suppressor hunting. We have some hogs, but nothing like the south has. Nebraska also allows suppressed hunting, and it is preferred by most of the private property owners up there.2bad4u2 wrote:Yuuup!
