best spotting scope

I am planning another WY DIY antelope hunt this year and my first backcountry is to hunt deer mules in the next 2-3 years. So I am researching what
hunting spotting scope to buy....I've only used$ 300 wind river before on antelope and it was useless!
Should I buy the Leupold HD Gold ring or Vortex HD???

Hi there and welcome!
Wish I could help but I can't even use the cheap Simmons spotting scope I have at the 100yd range. I hope someone pipes up and can give you some tips other than my unhelpful response

I have the Vortex HD. I can see .22 hits at 200 yards, for my buddies, during varmint competition . My Nikon could not do that. The vortex is large.
