Remington 120 OTFB takes a deer!

Post by Sig220 »

Nope not mine. I saw this on another site (Bayou shooters) and thought some might have a interest in it. (Rebel you paying attention? )

https://www.bayoushooter.com/forums/sho ... the-300-BO

The hunter stated the range was 50 to 75 yards, unmeasured.

Interesting side note is another poster in the thread states his preference for 168 Noslers in 300BO gotta wonder about expansion threshold there I would think.

I wouldn't choose this round for hunting but a number of shooters have had success with it.

168gr nosler in a 300blk? not sure of the expansion threshold, but I would question that decision.
Yes, I am a Baptist, and yes I carry a gun. You might think I carry a gun because I don't trust God. Well you would be wrong. I have complete faith in my Lord. It is mankind I have no trust in

I can kill deer with a .22 LR. I choose not to.

The bullet will be fine at the speeds he posted 1950+ out to 100 yards or so. It will work pretty good to just below 1800 fps.

The problem is how he’s getting there and the attitude he posted. Just fill the case and pull the trigger. Good thing he has a strong action. He’s probably pushing 80k with with that load.
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.

No sh*t dellet, attitude indeed - "Little worry with that case and pressure" and "pack 'er full " are statements that wonder if he has a plastic surgeon or EMTs on speed dial.

Maybe he was joking. Although I doubt it after reading the thread.
