Hornadys new offerings for hunting?

Post by razabak »

I'm wondering if anyone has tested hornadys newer loads. Either hunting or in a decent wet paper/gel test. The 110 gmx, 125 hp, and 135 ftx is what I'm looking at. I'm not to familiar with those bullets and what they do at blk speeds. Also do they have any of the troubles of the 110 vmax? I had problems with those showing pressure signs. I'm a big fan of hornady in a bunch of other guns, but I didn't like that one.

I'm running a bit low on 110 black tips and was curious if these (or something else) were worth exploring or if I should just buy more blacktips. Thanks!

The 125 SST has been proven to work by many and are very accurate for me. I would have to compare costs before looking for something new.

Is the 125gr they offer an SST? All I can find from them is that it's a hp. From their website "match grade hollow point bullets". Sounds more like an OTM or something similar. Also if the pictures they show are accurate they are not tipped like the other SST's I've used.

The ones you linked are bullets only. I'm referring to the loaded ammo.

I was just going by their website:
http://m.hornady.com/store/300-Blackout ... an-Gunner/

If that's an SST designed for blk speeds, then I'm intrigued. I've have good luck with the 150gr version in .308.

Gotta go back to my main ??? Anyone had any real world exp with any of these?

You will find plenty of success stories with the 125 SST
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.

What bullet is the #30192? It looks like that's the one they offer as a factory load and not the SST.

Unless there's more than what's here and I'm not seeing it:

I'm surprised no one here has done any real world tests on any of these yet.

Going to try out some 178 eld x when the weather breaks. Supposed to expand on contact down to 1600 fps.
The16" bolt gun should be able to get 1900+. A 150 would be even better
