Here she is:

12" barrel with Ase Utra Jet-Z compact suppressor.

The sad part is that in the UK we can't have any semis other than .22lr, so there's no gas port/tube and it has to be manually cocked after each shot (hence the ball attachment on the charging handle).

Still, had it's first outing at the weekend, and the starting loads gave results that lead me to expect great things :P

Stick with stealthy subsonics and relish all the money you saved by not needing a switchblock to stop the action from cycling.

So, no restrictions on barrel length or silencers, right? Any special taxes or fees?

Minimum barrel length is 12", minimum overall length is 24".

You have to have a "firearms certificate" to buy firearms (including silencers), which is quite a process to get, involving joining a recognised shooting club for at least 6 months etc. You need to apply for a "slot" on your certificate for every single firearm you want to buy, and show good reason (self defence is not allowed as a reason to own firearms, quite a difference to the US!).

There's a v good rundown of UK laws on ARFCOM here:

Interesting. Thanks for the reply. Still not envious of UK guns laws, of course.

You'd be crazy if you were

However we do manage to get more shooting done than most Americans realise...

Shooting = relative. I'd get cocking elbow if I took a Thunder Ranch, Shootrite, Kyle Lamb class with that thing :)

It is a sad state of affairs re: the UK gun laws (coming soon to a US near us).

For a brief moment, though, let us all have a moment of silence* in appreciation for the fact that in the (most of the) US, you can pack up your rifle of choice and go to a shooting school to learn how to better defend you and your family, without having to explain that for the time being it is a RIGHT.

* silence (rimshot)

Looks quite nice.
The charging handle knob is interesting too, I've seen quite a few UK rifles with them and always wondered if they are the dominate choice or are side charging upper equally/more popular? (or even available)

Most people on this forum have the luxury of being able to own a suppressor in their state. Sadly I can not own one in mine, it's illegal in New Jersey. Consider yourself lucky and welcome to the forums. Nice rifle! 8)

Side charging (right hand) uppers are most popular, particularly for competition use (my 223 has a side charger).

See this example, this is the most common config:
