Re: Handi Rifle
As short as that is, I want to get the barrel cut down to the handguard and SBR it.

So it's not going to have the factory peep? If not, that's pretty disappointing. A $359 dollar rifle with a $500 sight.

I wonder if just the barrels will be available?

Yes, very disappointing. I was considering one before I realized that.libertyman777 wrote:So it's not going to have the factory peep? If not, that's pretty disappointing. A $359 dollar rifle with a $500 sight.

Why do you feel you need a battle ready red dot on a single shot rifle? I'm sure that T1 is just on for looks.C2_Drew wrote:Yes, very disappointing. Mine will get a mid grade 1-4x hunting scope, and I'm glad I don't have iron sights to pay for unnecessarily or get in the way of my ocular lense. I'd be just as happy with a Primary Arms RDS on a rifle like this. It's not like I'm going to drop it from a helicopter and run over it with my Humvee.
I will be waiting for range reports before purchasing just to make sure it's dialed in, but I am not expecting sub MOA for this to be a nice rifle to have.

Those Bushnell TRS25s are really really good for the money.300Blk wrote:http://www.midwayusa.com/product/593456 ... ount-mattelibertyman777 wrote:So it's not going to have the factory peep? If not, that's pretty disappointing. A $359 dollar rifle with a $500 sight.

Re: Handi Rifle
No, I don't think I need a battle sight on that rifle. In fact, I don't think I would use ANY optic on that rifle. I regularly shoot and hunt with iron sights, and for something like the handi rifle, I would rather use it with irons than have to go out and purchase anything else. I think a rifle like that looks silly with a red dot on it.Quiet Riot wrote: Why do you feel you need a battle ready red dot on a single shot rifle? I'm sure that T1 is just on for looks.

So when did this change? Not too long ago it was posted that both would be an option. viewtopic.php?f=138&t=77957&hilit=handi300Blk wrote:For sale in March. $359 MSRP with scope rail and rear peep sight. I changed the finish from blued to phosphate.
Handi rifles without sights are not very handy.
I realize there are less expensive red dot sights available. I don't buy cheap sights because you get cheap performance. And then when those sights break, you have no backup.
Don't think I'll be buying one now.
