Finally! My Noveske SBR is Finished!

Post by polizei1 »

Well, my rifle is finally finished! I'm still waiting on the Saker 762, and I somehow managed to have lost my MAD sling mount, so I'll attach that when I find it...

Specs:

Upper - Factory Noveske 8.2" 300BLK
Trijicon SRS
Inforce WML with Haley Strategic Thorntail mount

Lower -

JP LPK
JP Silent-Captured Spring
Geissele SD-C trigger
BCM Gunfighter Mod 3 Grip
BAD 45* Safety
Noveske Takedown Pins
B5 SOPMOD Enhanced
ODIN XMR Extended mag release

I forgot to mention, this is my FIRST AR ever, I hope it's a good one!

That's awesome! Sleek, handi, and quality components. I have really become a fan of those B5 sopmod stocks. You are going to love that rifle.

I have never been behind that Trijicon sight. Get yourself a metric ton of ammo and blast away!

THAT is a super Bad-ass looking rifle!!!

Let us know how you like the 45* selector. I like the idea, but dont want to retro fit all of my ARs unless it works as good as it looks

Very nice! How do you like the short NSR?

I think it will be a good one.

I love the rail, specifically because it's smooth and the diameter is smaller, which fits my smaller hands!

Well that explains why you are running that extended mag release...

Nice looking rifle.
For your first AR, you jumped in with both feet!

That Trijicon is a great optic, but you may want to pick up a good set of BUIS and set them up to co-witness.
Not only will that provide a great backup, but when you want pin point precision, using the co-witnessed setup allows you to have 100% repeatable sight picture.

Looks good. Does that upper receiver have more metal on it than mil spec? It looks beefier for some reason.

I originally was going to get Magpul BUIS, I honestly just forgot to order them with the rest of the stuff...next time I order something, I'll pick them up. I agree though, BUIS are good insurance!

L1, I'm not sure...it's a Noveske VLTOR factory upper.

I will say that my experience with AR's is limited, having a Colt issued in the military, a hybrid Armalite/Knights at my unit, and several friends AR's (RRA and various parts-builds), the Noveske is absolute quality. I'm not sure how common it is, but I can honestly say you can't get the front takedown pin pushed through with your hand, and I actually had to slightly file opening for the mag-release so it would actually fit. The tolerances are astonishing, I'm VERY impressed.

I chose Noveske for this very reason, I wanted a quality build, and I knew Noveske would produce. Sure, there are other great companies, but I like the niche' feeling, honestly. Other than that...if I had to pick a factory rifle, I would have gone with KAC, hands down.
