WHich primers?

Which primers do you all like? Standard or Magnum? One brand over another?

I like Rem 7-1/2 and CCI450.

i run cci 400's. they work well for everything i've thrown at them so far in the blackout. havent tested any magnum primers yet, but since i'm using these for 223, 204 and blackout it allows me good commonality. being able to stock one type and be able to say "small rifle is covered" is a large bonus :)

After using up most of my other types of small rifle primers I use the Remington 7 1/2 now on everything from 300blkout supers and subs to 5.56 percision stuff.

Develop your load with whichever primer you choose to use. Rarely, in my testing, does it make an appreciable difference

Mostly CCI400's then Winchester SR with a sprinkling of remmys SR MATCH.

My SR mags are hens teeth and the little I have are reserved for my 454's. Not at all needed in my 223/556/300.

Yeah +1 on the Rem 7 1/2. I may get good ignition from standard CCI Small Rifle but, I like the extra guarantee of the heavier cup and, I find they seat really well for me. I guess now that a couple of us have posted this.... there will be a sudden "shortage" of the Benchrest primers eh?
