Sheridan or Wilson

Post by plant.one »

just wondering which is the preferred Case length gauge for 300 blk? I've not used them in the past with my other reloading, but this will be my fist caliber wtih converted brass.

my first brass i'm getting from a reliable source (thanks grumpa!), but still wouldnt mind having one of these around for future checks.

is there any real difference in the two? is there any significant benefit to having one vs the other?

(yes i tried to search, but switching pages on the search results is giving me a search timeout error)

I have both. Wilson for checking case after forming. Sheridan for checking ammo.

The Sheridan with the cut-out should work both duties.

I dont have the Wilson but i would highly suggest getting the Sheridan. I have both the slotted and the non-slotted. If you can only have one, get the slotted version. very visual in telling you whether your brass or ammo is within specs and at which portion are you out of spec if it is not.

A big plus to Sheridan is the very nice people at the other end when you try and communicate with them. Very prompt in answering questions regarding their product. Great Customer Service.

I will sell you my Wilson but I'm keeping the Sheridan.
Hope that helps.

The Sheridan cut-away is the only one I use, I have a Wilson hiding somewhere behind my workbench after I gave it a healthy toss.
