W296 needs mag primers???

I just got into the 300 a fee weeks ago and winter is in full swing in Colorado. Temps in the single digits or teens

My last range session with a chono i had to dig the legs into the snow to get it low enough to shoot over from the bench

Maybe I'll just play with loads that function till spring snd do my load workup then

I have only used spp with 296 in my whispers for years. Try to thin out the black bird population during the winter. Sub and full house loads with great results. But mine are all single shot and bolt. Never had to worry about a filler because the bullet has to be seated so deep.
