I have used them with Trailboss. It works well, and is fairly quiet.

I had them seated at 1.665". POI was pretty muh the same as my 220 gr. SMK load, which was nice. I was getting a little over an inch at 100 yds. from a 10" Contender.

Ok.... Im confused

Why load a ultra light bullet at subsonic velocity? If i can run any bullet weight i want but the vel threshold is around 1000fps. Whats the benefit of a 90gn pill over a 220?

Serious question. Just trying to learn as much as i can

Midway had them for about 15¢ a bullet last month. So for dirt cheap you get a super quiet JHP that'll actually expand at 1000 fps to use for small game, plinking, or varmints. Lots of fun in a single shot, I'm sure.

Has to be out of a bolt or break action though.. Won't cycle in an ar.

And add to that, the XTPs are so much more accurate than the surplus 147 gr. JHPs I've tried playing with for a cheap plinking round.
