Anybody tried to work up a subsonic load with 2200? I found 4 cans and snapped em up. The powder drought around here is killing me.
So far ive got 10.5-11 gns with a 208 Amax to function the gun with no signs of pressure. Its pretty dirty though. After recovering the cases from the snow in my backyard the necks have a pretty sooty look. Primers look good and no extractor marks from the BCG moving to fast

So dirty that it may interfered with reliable functioning.Sharkbite wrote:...Its pretty dirty though...
We were experimenting with lighter bullets in the Blackout/Whisper.
Heavy bullets may provide sufficient pressures for cleaner powder burns.
In our testing, there was so much unburned powder that chambering and extraction were compromised.
It's still a good powder to have as it works in lots of chamberings.
