Idk what powder Barnes uses but 300MP has been MOA or better for me with every 110-130gr FB bullet I have used including the Tac-TX

Looking at your data and velocities you are also running slower which seems to be giving you good accuracy. I'm just interested because I've found some different data. A 9" gun and 16" with pistol gas will produce slower velocities than say a 16" BA or 16" with carbine length gas.jrf wrote:Looking at your data and velocities you are also running slower which seems to be giving you good accuracy. jrf, I looked up my data. 20.2 grains H110 gave me ~2185 from my suppressed 8". That's about 55 fps over factory, and is the best grouping load with the blacktip (so far) in that rifle. FWIW, 5.6 grains of Bulleye shoots that bullet at around 1300 fps and groups pretty well, too.

I started and have stuck with 296 cause I had so much of it.
Its been a good choice as my rifle likes it and it allows me to reach past advertised velocities.
Here is some chrono numbers form a 16" bbl using same powder and charge but different bullets. (Including the Barnes TX.)
Here is NON crimped 19.7g & Barnes TX:
Here is a moderate crimp in groove of Barnes 110TX:
Velocity went up, but accuracy form the RARR dropped off and stayed same form AR.
Here is 19g W Z-max 110:
