N110 supersonic load data Anyone?

Post by AxleSlider »

Anyone have any supersonic load data for Vitavouri N110 125 gr. and 110 gr.?

Apparently the only place this is published is in Hornady's reloading manual. They want $40 for it, but I just spent all my money on their SSTs. Go figure :|

Per Hornady 9th.
125 SST - 12.8 min - 16.8 max. OAL - 2.10
110 Vmax - 14.9 min - 17.4 max. OAL - 2.05

As always, start low and work up!

Much thanks Fireman. I will work up a few with those numbers.

Anyone else with this powder?

Had the day off work and loaded a bunch of these both the 125 SST and 110 Lehigh Controlled Chaos.

For both these loads I was able to go up to the max you quoted with no overpressure signs at all. Primer edges were nice and round, and no ejector marks or anything like that. The Lehigh CCs seat just a touch deeper than the Vmax when done properly to COAL - 2.01, but still no issues with the max load. And for the SSTs the accuracy got better as I moved up. Didn't put a Chrony out, since mine is toast.

I really like this powder. It runs really cool compared to Lilgun. I did a whole mag of fairly rapid double taps off low ready, and could easily touch the barrel after.

I have never found much "official" data for N110 and blk....

N110 is pretty popular for the whisper, I have been using that data to work everything up in blk.

I got great accuracy at 18.3 and the 125 OTM but had OAL growth due extreme compression was a real problem, primers were just starting to flatten out.
With 110's of three types the same problem with OAL growth. No pressure signs.

I tried 17 grs with both bullets because I had 10 lbs of it, decent groups , I chose 17 because that was the most I could load with out OAL growth and excess spillage on my dillion.

You will not get max fps with N110 with 110-125 gr bullets because you can not put enough of it in a case due to the bulk. good groups clean burning
