I have fired these with good results as well. I do not believe the profile is optimal for feeding, but I have not experienced any malf's.

I however do seat them considerably shorter - to 1.950. Apparently this is the optimal length per Rsilvers for optimal feeding. My powder charge is 17.0 gr of H110. It could tolerate higher but I do not load hot.

Glad to see some data with these bullets as I just purchased 400 of them. I'm still building my 300blk AR and am trying to source components to reload. I have the following powder on hand: H4985, Lil' Gun, WC844 (pulldown), BL-C2, & 4062; can anybody comment on which would be the best to try? FWIW, will be shooting a 16" carbine AR (built by me). Having a really hard time finding 308 bullets around here (just like everybody else)...

I did pretty much the same thing working with this bullet however I took the powder charge from 17-20grs at .5gr intervals. Accuracy didn't really come together until I hit the 20gr. charge which is listed as max in the Hornady 9 manual. COL was 2.100. CCI 400 primers were used along with Lake City brass. I had 4 shots touching with a slight vertical string and one called flier. Distance was 75 yards, brain cramp set in and I thought I was at the 100 yard sticks. Will chrono soon.

Wanna pop a groundhog with one of these just to compare with other calibers.

Usual disclaimers apply when using loading data from this post. It can all be found in the Hornady 9 Manual

Sorry the powder was in the thread topic but most people don't start there. Using Lil'Gun for the loads posted in my earlier post.

I loaded 17.0gr, 18.0gr, 18.5gr, 19.0gr, and 19.1gr of Lil'Gun with no pressure signs. I don't have my load data on me but 17.0gr of Lil'Gun was all over 1 - 1.5" up, down, left and right and avg was over 2200fps. The other loads were consistent, easily < .75", and 19.1 was about .25" over 2300fps.

I was loading to COAL of 2.040 and shooting out of my 16.5" bolt gun.

I read it expands well for hunting application in 300 BLK and all reports about this bullet have been very good. I plan to use it is a general hunting option as well as plinking option with that price.
Did you try the 18, 18.5 and 19 out of an AR?
Two weekends ago I put 40 through the AR (16" barrel, Carbine gas) at EDIT:16.8gr Lil'Gun (I need to check my notes on the load) with COAL 2.040". No issues feeding. I did at least 25 in quiet rapid fire, still no issues other than one hot barrel :)

I tried some of these loaded with various amounts of Lil' Gun and H110, but seated the bullet for an OAL of 2.2". They shot well and were a bit more accurate than those I had seated at 2.020". No problems with feeding, extracting, or ejection.

Correction, I meant 2.060" OAL, not 2.020" OAL. Sorry.

I loaded the 40 rds at 16.8 gr for an avg speed of 2180fps, with a 5 shot group approx. < .50" at 25yds.
I remember now that I was trying to get closer to 2220fps with the load and then I decided to just load up a total of 40 so I could punch some paper.
