Re: Starting Loads for Lee 230 gr. Cast Bullets?
Is anyone seeing any expansion with these bullets in media/game?
Re expansion
Well they do this in wet sand. Can you spot the smiley face?
I would say at least some had good expansion, but this particular medium does not correlate to large game.
If there was some one that could convert this mold to a nice big deep hollow point and you for example cast these hot and frosty then stand the tails in water then flare them up good at the tip before they melted it would temper them soft in the front for good expansion would be my guess.
That is an old handgunners defensive cast load technique.

Anyone else shooting the lee 230 gr. cast bullets? What is your favorite load for them?
Pistol or Carbine gas?
I was able to get my 16" carbine gas to cycle with 11.5grs of Lil'Gun. Now that's at 1472fps (super) using the Lee 230.
My favorite is 8.5 of IMR4227 . Bolt locks in my 14" pistol gas.

Oh...
I use LFCD . Powder coating drastically improved accuracy with this boolit.

I imagine they would, explain the process please.
I think I would like to give it a try if it is easy, I.e. does not require an air sprayer
What loads do you use? I imagine you can push them to higher velocities? My load is above, I have used unique also but am sticking with aa-1680

I use 10.8 gr of 1680 out of an AR with Noveske 10 inch barrel. These are seated to 2.21 and fly 1020-1050 fps. I use Hi tech coating
